Alberto VO5 Red Hair Spray, Fast-Drying, Max! Hold, 8.5 oz

This item was no longer available in stores, so I ordered enough to last a year from Amazon seller ABC Wholesale because I liked the product so much. They packaged the items in sets of three in plastic shrinkwrap. They substituted a different style (Volume Blast), which is in the exact same can except for the name. I did not notice the substitution until I opened the last 2 shrink wraps. All six were the substituted item, not the Max Volume item that I had ordered. Now I'm stuck with 6 cans of hair spray that are a very different item and performance from what I had originally ordered.

Alberto VOS Red Hair Spray is the best hairspray!!! I used to buy it in the stores and can't find it any longer. I love the natural feel and keeps the humidity from affecting my hair down here in South Florida. I wish the local drugstores would start carring it again!!!!!!!!!!

This hair spray is awesome - holds super well without giving a helmet head look.

But this product used to be available at regular retail stores. Now it appears to be one of the most difficult hair styling products to find anywhere. After much searching, I found it through this vendor on Amazon.

You used to be able to buy this hair spray for less than $4.00 a can. This vendor wants over three times as much for the very same product. A salon brand can be purchased for about as much! I suppose it's a matter of supply and demand.

If I am going to pay salon brand prices, I want a salon brand, and that's what I've done. I've switched to a salon brand and won't be buying from this vendor again.

By the way, watch for the labeling on this item. There is another VO5 spray, Volume Blast, that appears almost identical to Alberto VO5 Red Hair Spray, Fast-Drying, Max! Hold. It is NOT the same. It does not hold very well.
