Conair CS56R Red MiniPRO Ceramic Straightener, ½-inch

Comment: I bought this to use at the gym in the mornings and did not want to haul my 2" flat iron in my bag. It heats up pretty fast but it does not have temperature control, and it is truly mini, which is wonderful for traveling or carrying in a bag. However, I would not recommend this for day to day use for women who have a lot of hair or long hair, because it is too small. The size of the iron is about slightly thicker than an electric toothbrush, but it fits fine with the cable in the pouch, which is the size of a pencils pouch.

Comment: The product is as it is decsribed. It is an efficient miniature hair tool and works well. Be careful when manipulating the iron to style your hair because the material around the plates gets very hot.

Comment: This is the perfect flat iron for bangs and touch ups. I keep it at work so the heat resistant pouch comes in handy. Excellent price.

I have bought this iron on a whim, when it was available at the local grocery store in the 'sale bin'... originally I had no other use or purpose for it, other than maybe taking it on some trips, so I do not have to pack my lot bigger (1") flat iron.

Turns out it became my regularly and exclusively used hair straightener. I still do not understand why it works so much better than all the other irons I have used. I have owned Revlon and Vidal Sassoon before and even went and bought another (bigger) Conair, thinking maybe each model of Conair brand is better...
I should point out I never used Farouk CHI, so I cannot vouch for that one, however none of the other flat irons I have used has done as great job as this small Conair unit does in creating the natural look, while being easy, fast and simple to use.
I have quite a short hair, and get it usually done under five minutes. The final look is natural, sleek, healthy and somewhat shiny looking and it lasts several days (I wash my hair about twice a week at the most).

I had to return the bigger (1 inch) Conair, and quit using my Revlon iron, as both of them took A LOT more time to go through my hair, and each time the end result just look somewhat off... the straightened hair never looked quite right, it did not look smooth enough and did not last very long.

Once again, I cannot quite explain exactly HOW or WHY does this iron do so much better job, that other irons - it just does.
Currently priced at $15 - it's an investment gloriously worth making and I will be buying another one as a back up!

Comment: first of all, I like the color, red + the design on the small case for it.
It gets hot in a minute!!

I would recommend who has a shirt hair though..
and You might wanna be careful when you hold it, since it's really hot even it got a rubber(plastic) covers on sides.
