Do a little more research and you will find that no one within the dread community supports the use of wax on dreads other than those who stand to profit from peddling these products. That being said, the comb is nice and I can't think of anything negative to say about the accelerator considering it is just some saline concoction that you could make at home that is much more affordable. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Dread Head HQ Dread Dreadlock Starter Kit (Health and Beauty) I have no idea what the review above is talking about because there are a lot of people I know who still use wax and there is nothing wrong with it. I personally use wax and have had people ask me about my dreads. I have had some people approach me and ask if I do them myself. Wax is not corrosive to your hair. The problem with wax is what exactly is in the wax. Do your research and find out what types of wax to avoid. for example, avoid wax that lists petroleum as an ingredient and if you happen to use the wrong wax, all you do is use a residue free shampoo to wash it off. Personally, I really love the shampoo included in this kit. It's great on your hair. Please do not be mislead into avoiding certain products because wax happens to be one of the popular methods to dreading your hair; if not the most popular.
