Ok to start off i have to say grunge mat seems to be really under rated compared to pink (spiky edge) and purple (wild shake). This really does surprise me because grunge mat is exactly purple but no shine! Pink makes your hair too hard and sticky. But it is good for adding spikes. In my opinion use grunge mat or wild shake to create a style with your hair then use a bit of pink to add spikes or support in areas. I personally use grunge mat to style with then use some technical clay and spiky edge to finish off. BTW if the gatsby moving rubber products don't work for you its simple ur hair must me straight so relax or straightener, thin your hair (gatsby can't really hold up thick hair) and finally don't think gatsby will make you cool or awesome just by using it! Look people on youtube who use this product have their hair cut accordingly to their style so there tutorials won't work for you UNLESS you go to a professional stylist and get your hair cut the same way. Seems very light but it actually holds very well. You don't need much for it to be effective. I did notice that you have to work it in a bit/dry it for it to have the full affect. Love the matte look

It is the third time since I purchased the first Gatsby Grunge MAT. I cannot say it is the best one. But it is the one that mostly suits me.
