It does define your curls temporarily but on 4b/c AA hair, it just frizzes up into its natural state after it dries.
And what's worse is that it flakes.
I may have used more product than necessary, but the instructions aren't clear on how much to use anyway.
I think it could work if you did a roller set and used a very minimal amount while setting but other than that, I wasn't very pleased with the results.
I ended up just having a greasy fro.

I've been using this about three weeks. Although it defines the curls nicely and softly, my hair shrinks as much as it ever did.

So, the first time I tried it, didn't work. My hair was still frizzy, no curl definition etc. But the second time, after I had deep conditioned it, I was pleasantly surprised. What did I do different? I had no mercy in the amount I put in my hair. I put as much as could fit in the problem sections and took my ionic hair dryer to the monster when I was done. My hair did shrink, but I had the most adorable curly fro (and I'm talking ringlet curls). On the other hand, when I was younger my hair did ringlet, but I've not seen it like that since I was 12. Like the previous reviewer that also gave it 4 stars, my hair is thick, coarse and curly. Maybe that had something to do with it? FYI, I'm black.
