Helen of Troy Professional Tangle-Free Hot Air Brush Iron

I have used this product for years. I own two at a time. One for home and one for my suitcase (I travel a lot). I have slightly wavy hair that looks unruly if not tamed and styled. This air brush works beautifully; results are smooth and chic. Hair damage is not a problem because hair never touches hot metal. I did literally burn one out while traveling in Africa despite using transformer and converter but that was a result of very unstable current in the country I was visiting. The only real problems I have ever had were so slight I hesitate to mention them. There is a small plastic screw "cap" on the end of the brush itself that holds the brush in place; it has a tendancy to come loose during use and must be retightened. The "teeth" that lock the brush in place and when loosened free the comb to spin and release the hair are made of a soft plastic that tend to wear down with heavy use.

I've had this dryer for almost a year now, and like the styists who also own it, I find it temperamental. It does a great job while it's working, but the thermostat gets progressively buggier after about three months. If you turn the dryer off, you'll have to wait for it to cool completely before it will turn back on. Now, it turns off while I'm in the middle of doing my hair. The stylists have three or four of these so they can alternate working with one while the other(s) cool off - as I said, when they work, they're terrific. I'm going to replace mine with another brand.

This is the very BEST hairstyler and hair dryer in one! I have very fine, thick, shoulder lenght hair and was a little skeptical that this product would be usefull for me. It is! Actually it is the best hair styling product I have ever purchased. It dries and sets my hair very quickly, usually in five minutes or less. What a timesaver. I am so delighted with this product that I purchased eight (8) to keep in my closet so I don't have to hunt for the best product EVER!!!!
