My hair is past my butt so I was getting frustrated with how much wax was getting everywhere. I heard about this product and felt like it deserved a shot. It works really well for holding down the frizz for a day or two and it smells great, but my dreads have loosened greatly and made it harder for the wax to hold them together. Also, the day or two after applied, the gel left a weird white resedue in my roots which made them look very dirty.

I've been using the tightening gel for a couple of months now to tighten up my 3 month old dreads. It has been helping me quite a bit and my locks are pretty solid. I just use this and palm roll it in once or twice a week to help get any of the loose hairs to lock up and to get my dreads solid though and though. It leaves your hair a bit stiff the first day you use it and the aloe vera does dry up and can flake a bit but all in the service of good looking dread. I use it in the afternoons after I take a shower and it has my dread looking much cleaner right away. I just came back for my second container.

While this stuff won't give you amazing results on first use, it does work. It also helps me remember to palm roll my dreads after showering.
