Summary: What's not to like? But order a #40 blade for the electric clipper as well. 2010-03-08
Comment: These combs are simple devices for getting a different length of hair/fur. I found out by looking at a video I had purchased last year that you need a #40 blade ($25.00 approximate) to use with these combs. That's another cost if you're going to try grooming your pet yourself. The Oster clipper that I purchased came with a #10 blade which isn't designed to be used with the plastic combs.

Comment: Looking to replace the combs on my Andis Dog Clippers, I searched for a durable set that would fit any clippers in my possession. I have some 20 year old clippers that my parents had (that still works), and put the spring loaded comb onto the clippers. The fit was perfect and the durability of the combs was exactly what I was searching for to cut my Bichon Frise's hair. He enjoys getting his hair cut and the comb passed through his short hair with ease and without flexing like so many low end combs can do.
The hard plastic construction with the spring loaded mechanism allows for a perfect fit.
The versatility of the set, allows me to cut my dog's hair at any length, I choose. I keep my Bichon's hair short for the puppy cut style that limits him from matting.
Highly recommend.

Comment: Four stars because I think they're overpriced. That said, they are quality combs. The metal spring attachment means a good, tight fit, no rattling. You attach the metal hook side first and push the front over the clipper blades; backwards from most cheap combs. No regrets on the purchase

Comment: These combs attach securely to the clippers with a spring-loaded mechanism. They are very secure--no rattling around. They work better than the combs that come with the clippers, both because they don't vibrate and because there are more (and longer) lengths.

Comment: I have an Oster clipper set, have had them for years, this set DOES NOT fit! Of course, I threw out the packaging as soon as I opened it and cannot return it. So I'm stuck with it, probably put it in a garage sale, LOL. Buyer beware, does not fit Oster Lucky Dog or the older version I have.
IF they did fit, looks very sturdy, strong springs and variety of sizes, would have been a great buy!
