This flat iron is great! I have shorter length African American hair and this Wigo straightens very well. It heats up fast, gets very hot, and doesn't pull the hair. I got mine for $20 at Big Lots and couldn't be happier. The 1 inch is great for short hair. Don't spend $100 on a Chi until you've tried this one!

I bought this iron elsewhere for much less, but I've found that this iron works exceptionally well. The maximum heat is very hot and consistent. Iron is quick to heat up. Work in small patches otherwise your hair could get stuck/pulled. The 1" iron works better for shorter hair. If you have longer hair, I'd recommend the 2" iron. The only things I wish this iron had were some type of hole where I could hang this bad boy on the wall (like my corioliss iron does) and I wish the plates were a little longer.
